Hertzler Systems’ GainSeeker Suite Drives 3% Improvement at Del Monte Foods’ Milk-Bone Plant

Buffalo, NY, November 21, 2008 - When Del Monte Foods’ Milk-Bone plant in Buffalo, NY, decided to install performance boards to visualize data and track the plant’s operating performance, the Company chose Hertzler Systems’ GainSeeker Suite technology, rather than a manual dry erase board system. Since installing the Hertzler System, the plant has realized a 3% improvement in performance across all packing lines.
"The Hertzler System’s color-coded and real-time display of production line performance has given our operators a heightened sense of ownership over the plant’s performance," says Kurt Wolfanger, Del Monte Production Systems Manager. "Rather than analyze performance reports the next day, employees can act on real-time data from the performance boards, leading to faster issue resolution and better overall performance. Furthermore, this system will allow us to maintain a historical record of our performance, which will guide our long-term improvement efforts."
