New Workflow Control of Defect Data Entry

GainSeeker Suite Version 7.6 introduces new commands to the Data Entry Template language that provide a new user interface for entering Defect Data. This means that you can have complete control over how users enter defect data.

In earlier versions, you had complete control of how users entered variable data, almost no control over how users entered defect or attribute data. This made entering attribute data more cumbersome and increased the risk of storing bad data. That problem is eliminated because now you can apply the full control of the template language to entering defect data.

Under template control, you can:

Step users through entering traceability information.
Validate data at each step in the process.
Link to other information systems for lists of operators, departments, and so forth.
Loop through various steps in the process as needed to support the operator's activities.
Make dependency relationships between various traceability fields.
Use a "big button" touch screen interface for recording defects.

For customers who need to manually collect defect data, this will be a significant time saver and increase the reliability of the data.
