More flexibility to control how users enter data

Version 7.7 extends GainSeeker Suite's rich tradition of giving users absolute control over the data entry process. This control simplifies data entry for end users, and helps ensure that the data you enter is defect free.

Here are a few of the new commands that add new functionality to GainSeeker Suite:

  • EVAL - Build special functions and formulas and use them dynamically. For example, you can build a function to calculate the absolute value of two numbers and then call that formula at any time. Or you can build a function to extract traceability data from a database table and then call that function whenever you need it.
  • DE_OPT 20 - allows you to override the Real-time error alert setting (from the Administration module), which determines whether an alert will be displayed each time an individual data value generates a real-time failure or only once per subgroup
  • DE_OPT 23 - lets you set the font size for all data entry help windows.
  • DE_OPT 24 - Lets you control which values are displayed so you can more easily format the input screen when you use GainSeeker Data Entry in PDA mode.
