Enhanced HTML Capabilities for Data Entry

Data Entry Forms

While these features might best fit under the topic of “Data Entry template enhancements that will be important to our implementation team, but not to most users,” we think this one will actually matter to quite a few users.

With the new HTML command we've added, it is now easier to read data from custom data entry forms. These HTML forms can be built to match paper forms, so that you don't need to retrain operators.

You can view a sample of this in the new tour database:
The Tour Foods - Lab user includes an icon titled “HACCP Data Entry – Form”. You get to this demo from the Tour Foods – Lab Group when you’re logged into .Launch as the Tour Foods – Lab user.

The Control Center alerts the
operators when data collection is due

Operator Control Center

The second innovative use of HTML technology that sets GainSeeker ahead of our competition is a Control Center. You can build a data entry interface that updates colors based on different control parameters. For example, during a recent project for a customer, we built a control center that changed the color of a part label when the operator was due to collect data for that part.

You can view this in our new tour database:
While you’re still logged into .Launch as Tour Foods – Lab, select the Tour Foods – Weight Control group, and select the Control Center icon. When you select Next Action you get a menu of options. When you’re ready to perform a weight check, for example, you select that and then when you complete the check, the red box beside “Weight Check” turns green and the time the next check is due is displayed in the box. The program checks for out-of-date checks every 30 seconds or so.
