New in GainSeeker® Suite Version 8.1
Miscellaneous Enhancements
Add Hyperlinks to Notes
Real-time notes now support the keywords "file:" and "http:".
The blue text at the bottom is a clickable link |
Whatever appears after these is considered a link. The end of the link is considered to be the next space or a carriage return/line feed. You may put double quotes around the link if it contains spaces, e.g. file:"c:\program files\gainseek\photos\flash_defect.jpg".
You can get to this example using the Manufacturing Tour SPC Desktop: 18 Case Study – Week 3, and then selecting the anchor point for the feature TEMP 2.
Data Entry Template Enhancements that will be important to implementers, but not most users
As usual, we’ve added a bunch of template commands and enhancements that will help our staff and other template writers be more productive and do more with date entry templates.
Some new DMS_OPTS commands (11 and 12) were added to give the users more options for how the User Interface works when the DMS_Counts command is used, and the DMS_Counts command itself was enhanced to make it more user friendly.
See the Whats New section of the help file for specifics on these and a handful of other enhancements.
Minitab 16 supported
GainSeeker Suite v8.1 integrates tightly with Minitab 16. Minitab 16 was released in spring of 2010. GainSeeker also continues support of Minitab versions as far back as Minitab Version 12. In addition to sending GainSeeker data sets directly to a Minitab data table, GainSeeker Suite lets you automatically generate Minitab charts. These charts can be built on-the-fly in Minitab, or GainSeeker can display Minitab charts in GainSeeker windows.
