The latest release of GainSeeker Suite, version 7.6, was released early summer 2007. It focused on enhancing data visualization, integration, and ease of setup and deployment. This major release was followed in fall 2007 with a minor release: 7.601. Version 7.601 offers a new Launch Pad module and improved support of pocket (PDA) data devices, as well as several other minor enhancements.

New Enterprise Dashboard Module
GainSeeker 7.6 introduces the newest module to the GainSeeker Suite: the Enterprise Dashboard.

Based on customer requests and input, the Enterprise Dashboard provides better visualization of data. You'll save time and effort at all levels of your organization because you'll have better communications and better understanding of how your business is performing.
The Dashboard rolls up data from multiple, complex processes into convenient, easy-to-understand graphics and tables. And then when you want to get down into the details, the Dashboard makes them available in one click. The Dashboard is available in both Client and Server Editions.
HertzlerNet members with the Enterprise or Limited Use License (Serial number begins with GSTE-ENT or GSTE-LTD) will automatically receive the Client Edition of the Enterprise Dashboard when they upgrade to Version 7.6. Modular License holders (Serial number begins with GSTE-HSI) may purchase the Client Edition of the Dashboard for a special introductory price. Enhanced Support for MINITAB 15

GainSeeker 7.6 takes advantage of new features released in MINITAB 15. Quite simply, GainSeeker 7.6 forms the tightest integration possible to MINITAB 15.
Now with one click you can send data directly to MINITAB and have MINITAB draw the chart or perform the analysis you need. There is no need to memorize Minitab charting or analysis commands because GainSeeker can do the work for you. Not only that, but now you can customize GainSeeker Charts & Reports Menus and add MINITAB functionality directly to GainSeeker Suite. If you've ever wanted a custom chart added to GainSeeker, now you can get it.
New workflow control of defect data entry

GainSeeker Suite users have long been used to having complete control over the process for entering variable data. By popular demand, Version 7.6 gives the same functionality for entering defect (attribute) data. For customers who need to manually collect defect data, this will be a significant time saver and increase the reliability of the data.
RFID Supported
Radio Frequency Identification is a technology that increases the speed and accuracy with which inventory and work in process can be tracked and managed. GainSeeker Suite now supports RFID thereby increasing the security and reliability of data, and at the same time reducing the effort required to collect traceability data used in GainSeeker Suite.
Windows Vista Compatible
GainSeeker Suite continues to support Microsoft developments. GainSeeker Suite Version 7.6 tackles this on two fronts. First, Version 7.6 has performed successfully when tested on Windows Vista. The new release also expands support for SQL Server 2005.
New LaunchPad Module - Version 7.601

GainSeeker 7.601 introduces another new module: LaunchPad. The LaunchPad gives you a single screen to launch and login to any GainSeeker module. This simplifies the operator interface tremendously. Instead of up to 10 icons floating on your desktop, LaunchPad consolidates them all into one simple icon.
Once you've logged in to LaunchPad, GainSeeker remembers your user name, password and so forth so you don't need to reenter the same information over and over again.
Enhanced PDA Support using PocketForms

GainSeeker 7.601 offers enhances support for Personal Digital Assistants (PDA). Prior to this release, users wanting to capture data on a PDA needed to publish GainSeeker Data Entry on a Citrix or Terminal Services infrastructure. While this has a number of solid advantages, it required a substantial investment in infrastructure.
Now users can develop custom applications that run on any PDA. Users collect data on the PDA, and then synchronize their device with a host computer. GainSeeker Data Entry can grab that data and load it into GainSeeker Suite.
Other Enhancements
In addition to these major enhancements, GainSeeker Suite 7.6 and 7.601 includes a number of new features that make the system more powerful and easy to customize for your specific application. These enhancements include new options for delivering documents to process owners, new list and string-handling capabilities that make customizing data collection more versatile and easier, and more user-friendly template scripting capabilities.
