In the last few posts, I’ve been exploring the ways our customers are using GainSeeker Suite SPC software to display real-time data on dashboards. I’ve talked about Scoreboard Dashboards, Meeting Room Dashboards, and Stakeholder Dashboards.
Mobile Dashboards are a variant of the Stakeholder Dashboard. Actually, the only difference is where the stakeholder views the dashboard. A Mobile Dashboard is displayed on a mobile device like an iPad or a Droid.
The Mobile Dashboard means that you can get check the dashboard from anywhere in the world, anytime you have access to the Internet. As one customer said to me, “If I could check the status of key quality metrics on my phone while I’m waiting for my next meeting to start, I’d think I had died and gone to heaven.” Or to put it another way, you can take it with you.
Here are a couple of examples. The first shows dials with capability and yield data on an Android Smart Phone. The second is a list of real-time failures, shown on an iPad.
