Configuring a default Cms.ini for Citrix or Terminal Services

You can configure the initial Cms.ini that is copied to the Home directory of new GainSeeker users on a Citrix or Terminal Services implementation.

  1. Log in to the terminal server as a network user who runs GainSeeker.

  2. Use the Administration module to configure the Cms.ini for that network user. For detailed instructions, see Using Cms.ini to specially configure the workstation.

When finished, exit the Administration module.

  3. Identify the location of this network user's Cms.ini file. For help with this task, see Finding Cms.ini in Citrix or Terminal Services.

  4. Identify the location of the Cms.ini file in the terminal server's system root folder (such as C:\Wtsrv). Then rename this file to a name such as Cms.001.

  5. Copy the network user's Cms.ini file to the terminal server's system root folder.

  6. When any network user launches a GainSeeker module for the first time (where Cms.ini does not exist in that user's Home directory), the terminal server will automatically copy the Cms.ini file from its system root folder the to that user's Home directory.
