A retrieval is a unique combination of:
standard(s) or process(es)
An SPC retrieval can specify only one standard or Short Run process specification.
A DMS retrieval can specify one or more processes or standards.
a date period or a count of most recent values
a data filter
specific defects to retrieve and analyze (for DMS data only)
a multiplier and alternate unit to simplify display (for SPC data only)
This combination of settings is stored with the name that you specify. One retrieval can be used by multiple gages and by multiple KPI dashboards.
