Deleting standards

Before you delete a standard, you should archive all data that has been entered for it by exporting a copy of the standard using the SPC Standard Utility.

You can delete standards using the Select Part Number dialog. It can be accessed from the:

• GainSeeker System Administration module

• GainSeeker Charts module

• SPC Data Entry module

Accessing the Select Part Number dialog

from the GainSeeker System Administration module

Navigate to the Standards setting on the Configurations tab following this path:

Configurations | (configuration name) | Lists, Standards, and Tables | SPC | Standards

• Right-click the Standards setting to open the Select Part Number dialog.

from the GainSeeker Charts module or SPC Data Entry module

• Click the Setup menu on the GainSeeker Charts window or the SPC Data Entry window. Then, click Standards... on the list that displays. The Select Part Number dialog opens.

Using the Standard Utility

If you have rights, you can use the Standard Utility to import, export, or duplicate DMS standards or SPC standards or process specs you specify. You can also copy standards or process specs to another configuration using this utility.
