Maximum count for retrieval setting

Set the upper limit for the number of data records to retrieve for each selected SPC standard. You may want to limit the number of data points to analyze to prevent a retrieval from being excessively large and slow. It can also help you to better see individual data points.

On the Monitor Table chart, this setting also works with the Maximum count for each standard setting to limit the total number of rows displayed on the table.

You can choose default settings for charts in the GainSeeker System Administration module. See Chart Defaults settings

Navigating to this setting

The Maximum count for retrieval = setting is located at the top level on the Settings tab, tab.

For help with using tree structures like the one on the Settings tab, see Navigating Tree Structures

Double-click Maximum count for retrieval to open the Enter Value dialog. Then, enter a numerical value in the text box to represent the maximum number of records to analyze for each standard.

To remove the maximum count

To remove the maximum count and not limit the number of retrieved data records retrieved, set this value to 0 (zero).

For Monitor Table charts, do not set this to 0.

Changing this setting will change the maximum number of retrievals allowed for each existing or future chart within a chart group.
